Brian Gaynor
Since the Human Show is a blog of all things human, I feel this must be posted here! I have seen Brian dance on several shows over the last several years and each time seems more impressive. I recommend that you see some of his other pieces too. This is a bit about his audition for So You Think You Can Dance and is phenomenal.

Heaviest Woman...
This article was disturbing and ridiculous. The article was titled Woman Striving to be World's Heaviest. Even though she seems self-aware enough, because she admits her desire for attention and food, in my opinion there is something amiss here. Already having Type II Diabetes and continuing this, not being able to function normally (shower, cook, etc.) there is no way that this should be encouraged by Guinness, which she has applied for a couple of world records with, or any reality tv producers as she wants to pursue a show about herself. Oh well, I guess even though I think it is an unfortunate commentary on our society at least there is room for every single person to carve out a little piece of the world for themselves.

World Cup Fans
As with this morning on No-Profundity, I thought it would be good to share more of the wacky World Cup fans. They are all using the much reviled vuvuzela in these pictures but I need to say "Huh...?" about the outfit the Japanese fan is wearing!

World Cup Weekend!
Since it is World Cup Weekend at the blogs, I wanted to share a couple of commercials here on the Human Show. Here is a great World Cup 2010 Advertisement that is brilliant for its simplicity!
Here is a Pepsi World Cup advertisement.
While this last advertisement is great, I have never been and never will be a Nike fan though I am an England fan and Wayne Rooney fan!

People Did It!
This posting isn't specifically about any great or impressive individual or mocking an individual etc. This post is actually a list from a site I happened upon this evening!
It was about 50 Bizarre US Laws. Unfortunately humans are exclusively responsible for the stupidity, ridiculosity (yes I just made that word up) and (nearly) unbelievable nature of these laws.
What is really great about this list is they selected some of the silliest laws not some of the most out of date or morally objectionable laws or even the most unenforceable laws.
They also went state by state so nobody would be left out, what a great idea, I am sure they could have found 50 in the Carolinas alone!
Here is a short selection:
Alabama
It’s illegal to wear a fake mustache that causes laughter in church.
Arkansas
It’s illegal to mispronounce the name of the state of Arkansas.
Colorado
It’s unlawful to lend your vacuum cleaner to your next-door neighbor (Denver).
Connecticut
A pickle cannot actually be a pickle unless it bounces.
Florida
If you tie an elephant to a parking meter, you must pay the same parking fee as you would for a vehicle
That last one is important for all of you elephant drivers out there. Maybe if you have been reading No-Profundity, one of my other blogs, you will have noticed it's post today was on elephants.

Headbutt!!!
OK, anyone who watched the 2006 World Cup will remember the moment late in the final match when Zinedine Zidane from France, headbutted Marco Materazzi from Italy and was red-carded. Ultimately Italy went on to win the game. Here is the original video!
This morning I found an article about some commercials for a European online betting company. Here are the commercials, I found them to be funny but they were banned in Austria!

Stupid!
Sorry, no pictures in this post but you might be interested in this article if you are a cynic! My status as a cynic, means I was not surprised a bit, though still bothered by ignorance!
If you are an optimist you may feel a little dejected after reading about these poll results.
Here is the article titled: Most Americans Can't Name One Supreme Court Justice.
A few selected results below:
"More Americans could identify Michael Jackson as the composer of "Beat It" and "Billie Jean" than could identify the Bill of Rights as a body of amendments to the Constitution."
"A third mistakenly believed that the Bill of Rights does not guarantee a right to a trial by jury, while 40 percent mistakenly thought that it did secure the right to vote."
You can read more but you get the picture, right?
